VisualDirectory is a visual and interactive directory for efficient browsing of a website's content. Each item is represented by an image, and all the images are arranged into a rectangular grid, providing the overview of the entire content. The items are classified into a number of categories, allowing users to specify in which criteria they are interested in. Images that don't match the criteria will be filtered out. If the mouse is moved over an image, then it gets magnified and further information about the corresponding item is shown.

The visual directory can be maintained (additions, removals, modifications) directly by the webmaster. The visual directory is implemented as a Flash application that can be viewed in any web browser that has the Flash plug-in installed.
